Voltempo chief executive praises Windrose Electric’s innovation

Voltempo chief executive Simon Smith spoke to the FT to have his say on Windrose Electric’s plans to rival Tesla with a $2bn US Spac deal – as part of a wider goal to ‘kill diesel’.

Windrose currently partners with Voltempo to build the UK’s largest depot charging network for electric lorries. Simon said the Chinese start-up’s innovation was its truck design, adding: “It’s built to be efficient, it’s built for longer range and it’s built for charging speed.”
